WorldwideRWA shows, country by country, whether a tokenized real-world asset is actually accessible — and to whom. This page explains exactly how we classify availability, where the data comes from, how confident we are, and how often it is reviewed. It is information, not legal or investment advice.
We never reduce availability to a binary "yes/no". Each platform–country pair is mapped to one clearly defined status:
| Status | Meaning | Investor group |
|---|---|---|
| Directly buyable (KYC) | Can be bought directly on the provider after identity verification. | Retail |
| Directly buyable (no KYC) | Permissionless purchase, no identity verification required. | Retail |
| Secondary market only | Not sold directly; reachable via DEX/exchange on the secondary market. | Retail |
| Accredited investors only | Restricted to accredited / qualified purchasers (e.g. US Reg D). | Accredited / qualified |
| Professional investors only | Restricted to professional investors (e.g. EU MiFID professional). | Professional |
| Check in provider tool | Availability is dynamic; must be confirmed in the provider's own tool. | Varies |
| Not available | Not offered in this country (excluded / sanctioned / no path). | None |
On the overview pages these seven classes are shown as a reduced traffic light — available, limited or not available — so a card stays scannable; the exact class above is always shown on the card details and on every platform and asset page.
"Available" therefore always carries an investor group and an access path — a key reason we are more precise than a generic blog post.
Underlying data points carry a confidence marker so over-statement is visible:
F — documented fact (from an official source).E — our own assessment / estimate.U — unclear, flagged for manual review. For each platform we prefer, in this order:
Every platform carries its source link(s) on the country page. Country-level blocking uses ISO-3166-1 codes; sub-national regions (e.g. sanctioned territories) are listed separately as they are not ISO-resolvable.
Each platform shows the date its geo rule was last verified against the source ("verified on …"). Asset prices update automatically (crypto/token prices via CoinGecko, tokenized equities via the underlying stock price). The sitemap carries a lastmod date so crawlers see the data is maintained. Where a source could not be re-checked, the older review date is kept deliberately rather than overstated.
Currently 23 platforms across 194 countries, covering tokenized real estate, US/EU treasuries & money-market funds, private credit, tokenized equities/ETFs and gold/commodities. The set is expanding toward full coverage.
Every country page is also available as JSON for programmatic use and AI assistants — e.g. /rwa/united-states.json. Each record carries country, platform, status, investor group, asset classes, sources and the verification date. The full set is described as a Schema.org DataCatalog on this page.
This methodology describes an informational service. Availability classifications are a best-effort technical assessment based on public provider information — not legal or investment advice. Always confirm with the respective provider before acting. See also our disclaimer.
